How to Send Money to Uganda using Send Wave
1. Download and install the SendWave app on your device.
2. Create a SendWave account by entering details about your name, email address, phone number, and country you intend to send money and create a password for your new account. If you already have an account with the SendWave app, click on login and log in with the required login credentials.
3. Once you have logged into your account, click on the “SEND” button on the home page
4. You can select to send to pre-existing recipient’s contact or tap on add recipient to add the receiver’s number, and country.
5. Now select whether you want to send money via the bank account or mobile wallet. Click on the “Save” button to save the contact information.
6. Enter the amount you wish to send in dollars and it will be exchanged and displayed in Ugandan shillings in the next field box. The forex exchange rates will also be displayed.
7. Next, add your payment information.
8. Verify your identification and then confirm your transaction.
How to Send Money to Uganda using MoneyGram
1. Find a Moneygram agent near you with your ID, recipient’s full name registered on the ID, phone number, account number, and amount that you want to send.
2. Fill in the “Send Form” and give the agent both the form and the money you want to send.
3. Next, share your receipt and the 8-digit reference number with the recipient. The funds will reflect in their mobile wallet or account immediately.
How to Send Money to Uganda using EverSend App
1. Open the EverSend app and log in.
2. Click on “SEND” at the bottom center of the home page.
3. Tap on the cross icon at the upper right corner of the page to add a beneficiary.
4. Select to send the money via a mobile wallet or bank account.
5. Enter the amount that you want to send.
6. Add a note entailing a simple description of the reason for sending money.
7. Confirm the transaction.
How to Send Money to Uganda using Western Union
Send Online
1. Log in to your Western Union profile.
2. Choose country, amount, and delivery method (cash).
3. Enter your receiver’s name.
4. Pay with your card.
5. You’ll get a confirmation by email. Save the tracking number (MTCN) to share with your receiver for pick up.
Send Money in Person
1. Go to the nearest Western Union agent in your area.
2. Complete the Send Money section of the form and choose Cash Pickup and Money in Minutes.1
3. Give the Agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash.3
4. Save your receipt and share the tracking number (MTCN) with your receiver for pickup.
