You will need the phone number associated with your UBA profile, any mobile device, the last four digits of your ATM card or BVN, and magic banking to enable this kind of banking for your UBA account.

    How to register and activate UBA Nigeria USSD codes on your mobile network

    To use the UBA magic mobile banking channel, you must first register and activate it on your phone. To activate and use UBA mobile banking without an ATM card, dial *919# and follow the on-screen instructions to get the PIN to enable UBA mobile USSD banking on your number.

    1. Dial *919# on the mobile number associated with your bank.
    2. Choose Option 1 to register for the UBA USSD code.
    3. Select between enrolling with a NUBAN account number and registering with UBA Prepaid.
    4. If you are a UBA prepaid user, select “Prepaid With PIN.”
    5. Select “Account with PIN” if you are not a prepaid subscriber.
    6. Type in your 10-digit account or prepaid number.
    7. Create your unique banking PIN. For this, you’ll need the last four digits of your ATM card or BVN.
    8. Confirm your PIN to finish the registration.

    2. Follow the steps on your screen to complete the process.

    How to buy airtime from UBA using USSD code

    UBA Airtime top-up for self: To buy airtime for yourself from your UBA account

    1. Dial *919*amount# on your registered mobile line e.g. *919*1000# to buy 1000 Naira airtime on your phone.
    2. Enter your PIN and proceed to complete the transaction.

    UBA Airtime top-up for others: To buy airtime for another person from your UBA account

    1. Dial *919*Phone Number*Amount#.
    2. Select 2 for airtime transfer to others.
    3. Enter your PIN and proceed to complete the transaction.

    A service charge of N6.98 will be applied to your bank account for services performed using the USSD code.
