    1. Visit the nearest bank branch that the deceased was attached to with the following requirements;

    • Administration letter signed by the Administrator-General.
    • Fully certified death certificate from NIRA.
    • Identification proof that you are the next of kin or benefactor or new estates’ manager of the deceased as per letters of administration.
    • Claimant’s valid National ID or passport to verify identity.
    • Statutory Declaration (Affidavit).
    • Grant of Probate: This is a legal document issued by the court to an executor of the estate of a deceased person who left a will providing for what should happen to his estate and further appointing a personal representative (executor). The appointed person will go to court with the will and supporting documents and obtain a Grant of Probate.

    2. Present all the required documents to the bank branch manager.

    3. Once all the requisite documents have been provided and proved to be in order, funds will be transferred into the beneficiary’s bank account. Hereafter the claimant can choose to withdraw the money from their account.
