Don’t drain your wallet trying to buy a new game controller for your pc games. This is a guide for you, it will take you onto details on how to use a smartphone as a game controller for PC.
You can play almost all the computer games by controlling them with your Android smartphone.
You’re pretty much wondering how you can do this. You don’t need to upgrade your phone or even need an internet connection when playing.
Just grab your Android smartphone and your computer with at least one game installed so we can get started.

step 1
Have both your phone and computer connected to the internet. Don’t worry, we only need the internet to download the phone and computer software and we’re done.

Visit the google play store from your phone and search for controller PC

Download the application and open the application
This is where the connection to the computer starts.
Click on the connect icon in the top left corner.
Step 4
The phone will start searching for available computers but at this point, it won’t find your computer.
This is because there is no medium of communication between the computer and the phone.
Therefore we have to download the controller for the computer as well which will establish the connection.
Click on Haven’t installed PC Receiver…

Enter the web link provided in one of a browser on your computer.
The link leads to a web page from which you shall download the pc version of the controller.
Download the setup and install it.
Step 6
After the installation, the controller will start automatically. You, however, might not see it running on the screen.
You’ll have to open the system tray(located at the bottom right of the screen) to see the controller icon. Right click on the icon and select Run on startup. (When Run on startup is checked, you won’t need to look for the file in the download folder everytime you want to play a game with your phone).
Step 7
The final step in setting up a wireless network between the phone and the computer.
You can do this in various ways;
The best way is to create a hotspot from the phone(directly from the mobile application as shown below) and then connect to the phone’s wireless network using the pc. This is what I always do when I want to play. When the pc is connected to the phone’s Wi-Fi, the computer will be displayed in the results. You just have to tap on it.
Alternatively, you can create a hotspot on pc and then connect to it using your phone’s Wi-Fi.
Step 8
You can now enjoy your games by selecting the game you want to play, this will display a controller for that particular game. for example;
If the game you intend to play is not listed, don’t panic, you can play with any other controller for another game as long as it has the controls you need.
Alternatively, you can create a custom game controller by selecting the option at the end of the game list.
And you’re good to go.
