If you have watched “Tinder Swindler” a limited series on Netflix, then I understand the need to unmatch some individuals on your Tinder account. The criteria to spot potential and nonpotential partners on Tinder is pretty simple; swipe right to match with an individual and swipe left to reject someone. At times, the swiping gets too much and you might end up “swiping right” on the wrong individuals. Breathe in, Tinder gives you a provision to unmatch someone and this tutorial will show how to achieve just that.
Tinder gives users an instant platform to connect with people around the globe. Sometimes the exposure might lead to potential partners, ex-lovers, stalkers, and bad people. When you lose interest or figure out that person is acting inappropriately, you can always choose to unmatch them before the worst. If someone is unmatched on Tinder, both “victims”(the one who has unmatched and the one they have unmatched) will be unable to message each other, their profiles will disappear from each other’s feed and list permanently.
Get started with the procedure below and have perfect good riddance!
1. Start the Tinder app on your device.
2. Go to the Chats section then launch the chat with the person you want to unmatch and tap on the picture. Alternatively, you can search individuals from the search bar.

3. Next, tap on the shield icon for iOS or the ellipses icon for Androids in the top right-hand corner.
4. Now, select Unmatch and press “YES, UNMATCH.” You can also choose to report the person by selecting a reason for unmatching to generate a report to Tinder’s Trust & Safety team.

Note: When you unmatch someone, you’ll disappear from their match list and vice versa, and they won’t be able to see you or message you anymore or show up in your feed again.
