How to Turn on Location Services on Android TV
Step 1: Turn on the TV
Plug the Android TV cable into power and then press the power button on your remote to turn on your TV.
Step 2: Launch Settings App
Go to the home page then select the Settings app on your device. Alternatively, you can press the ‘Settings (gear icon)’ on your remote.
Step 3: Select Device Preferences
Under General settings, select ‘Device Preferences’.
Step 4: Select Location
Select Location from the list of Device preference setting options. The location status will be displayed (on or Off). Select ‘Use Wi-Fi to estimate location’ then press ‘OK’ to turn on your location.
How to Turn Off Location Services on Android TV
1. Plug the Android TV cable into power and then press the power button on your remote to turn on your TV.
2. Press the ‘Settings’ (gear icon) button on your remote or launch the home page and select the ‘Settings’ app.
3. Select ‘Device Preference’ and press ‘OK’.
4. Scroll down and select ‘Location’ from the list of displayed options then press ‘OK’ on your remote.
5. The Android TV location status will display on the new page. If the status shows ‘Off’ then the location services are disabled, if the status shows ‘Use Wi-Fi to estimate location’ then the location services are enabled. Tap on Location Status then select ‘Off’ to turn off location service on your Android TV.
