How to activate MTN Night Browsing on Pulse via USSD Code
There are two types of MTN Night Plans, 500MB for N50 and 250MB for N25. To activate this plan, follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Migrate to MTN Pulse Tariff Plan
You must be on the MTN Pulse tariff plan since it is the only one that allows you to browse at midnight on your line. If you are already on this plan, please disregard this step. Do this, on the other hand, to learn about your existing tariff plan and migrate to MTN Pulse.
- Dial the USSD code; *123*1*2# or *123#.
- Click on My tariff plans. Your current MTN tariff plan will be displayed on the screen.
- To migrate to MTN Pulse; simply dial *123#
- Choose Tariff Plan Migration by typing 2
- Choose Pulse then type 1 to migrate to MTN Pulse.
Step 2: Active your preferred midnight plan
In order to activate a plan, first recharge your phone with at least 25 or 50 minutes of airtime, depending on your plan.
- Dial *406# and select your preferred bundle plan from the Pulse Nightlife bundle menu. or dial *406*3*1# for 250MB/₦25 bundle and *406*3*2# for 500MB/₦50 bundle.

After getting a confirmation SMS of your subscription. Launch your browser and start browsing.
How to Check MTN Night Data Balance
Unlike before, when you couldn’t check your night plan data balance, MTN now has a USSD code that enables you to check the remaining data balance and monitor your data usage.
- To check your Pulse Nightlife data balance, dial *559*96#.
Also, MTN will send you your data balance notification at intervals as you use the night plan.
How to Cancel MTN Midnight Plan Auto-renewal
If you are no longer interested in using the MTN midnight plan, you can deactivate it by sending an SMS, as seen below.
- SMS “Stop Night” to 131 to cancel MTN night plan from auto-renewing.
