How to Connect a Laptop to a Decoder
The process of connecting your laptop to the decoder has been divided into two steps;
Step 1: Connect Devices
The HDMI video capture device features both output (HDMI) and input (USB) sides. After connecting one end of an HDMI cable to your decoder, attach the other end to the HDMI video capture device. Subsequently, insert the HDMI video capture device’s USB end into your laptop’s USB port.

Step 2: Start Viewing
Once the devices are connected, there is no guarantee that the decoder will display content just like it appears on the TV. If your laptop has a camera, head over to the Camera app to start viewing. Alternatively, you can view it using VCL. Click on VCL Media Player, select Media, and choose Open Capture Device. On the next menu, set Capture Mode to DirectShow, and Video Device name to USB Video. After all that is set, click play to start Viewing.
