By now, you could be familiar with sending and receiving money on your mobile wallet from Chipper Cash. As a Chipper user, you can now buy airtime for yourself or for a friend or loved one in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa, or Nigeria via the Chipper app. We must admit that there are other ways you could top up airtime on your number but what makes the Chipper “Buy Airtime” feature exceptional is that it offers 2% discounts on all airtime purchases. Cool! Right?
1. Open the Chipper Cash app on your device.
2. On the main menu, tap on Buy Airtime. If you do not see the option on your home page, click on the profile icon at the top right corner, then select “Buy Airtime” from the displayed menu.
3. Click on the country drop-down menu to select your country. Your country will be set by default to the country that you registered while opening an account.

4. Next, enter the phone number. Alternatively, you can tap on Contacts and then choose a number that you want to buy airtime for from your contact list. After entering the contact details, click on “Next.” Chipper system automatically detects the network where applicable
5. On the next menu, you will be prompted to enter the amount of airtime that you want to buy or you can select from the listed pricing below. Tap on “Buy.”

6. A pop-up entailing transaction details like the amount and recipient’s number will appear on your screen. If the transaction details are correct, click on “Confirm.”
7. Congratulations!! You have successfully topped up airtime on your recipient’s number.

Quick Note: Chipper Cash offers airtime purchases at a 2% DISCOUNT! In simple terms, you pay up to 2% less than the actual airtime amount you receive! For instance, if you buy airtime worth 1000, you only pay 980 and still receive 1,000 worth of airtime to the recipient’s number.
