There are various reasons why you may want to use WhatsApp on a PC. This can be because you spend most of your hours on the PC and you wouldn’t want to often get disturbed picking up your phone to reply to WhatsApp messages.

Well, there has always been an option of installing an Android emulator on your PC and then running WhatsApp from the emulator. This is probably a nice idea if your computer has really good specs.

By good specs I mean a computer with at least 8GB of RAM, 2.5GHz clock speed, and at least 500GB HDD. But having all the above specs doesn’t guarantee you that the Android emulator will run smoothly. This is because having an emulator on a PC can be compared to practically having two computers using the same resources.

You can imagine the competition for resources like RAM. This makes a computer extremely slow. This is why I’ve tried as hard as possible to find an alternative to Android emulators.

This guide describes four ways how to use WhatsApp on a PC without a smartphone.

Method 1 – Use WhatsApp Without Smartphone on an Online Emulator

As the title says, this guide explains how to use WhatsApp on a Windows PC without a phone or an emulator. You’re probably wondering why am talking about the online emulator. What makes this different from the other emulators you know is that this emulator is not installed locally on your computer.

This explains why it’s so much better than the usual emulators for download. As I told you earlier, emulators utilize a lot of computer resources from RAM to graphics memory to hard disk space.

The online emulator solves all these issues, you don’t need to worry about any memory or storage since the emulator is cloud-based and therefore it is installed on servers somewhere away from your computer.

All you need is a browser and the internet. Don’t get worried about having a smartphone, you can just need any other phone to receive the WhatsApp verification.

Running Android on a PC is extremely be fast, compare it to having a phone with computer specifications. You can imagine a phone with for example 4GB of RAM.

In this method, you will have to download the Phoenix OS (android for PC).

Don’t get worried, this doesn’t mean that you’ll say goodbye to your Windows Operating System.

Download the operating system from the manufacturer’s official website.

The installers available for download include; an online installer, ISO image, and an EXE installer.

These installers are categorized according to the Android version.

Run the downloaded EXE file as administrator. To run the file as an administrator, right-click on the file and click on run as administrator.

This will open the Phoenix OS. It is as easy to use as an Android phone.

Download WhatsApp from the Google Play store

The OS is pre-installed with the basic Android applications including Google Play.
