Previously, all car fines were imposed on the car number plate however lately, the fines are imposed on the driver’s permit too. If you dodge payment, you won’t renew your license. You can pay for traffic tickets using several methods, but the most important step is knowing your Payment Registration Number (PRN). Traffic fines are paid to the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA). Using MTN Mobile Money

  1. Dial *165# and press OK.
  2. Select 4) Payments.
  3. Select 5) Fees and Taxes.
  4. Choose 1) URA.
  5. Select 1) With PRN Payments.
  6. Enter your Payment Registration Number.
  7. Enter your PIN and press Send.

Using Airtel Money

  1. Dial *185# and press OK.
  2. Select 4) Pay Bill.
  3. Select 7) URA.
  4. Choose 1) Pay Registered.
  5. Enter your Payment Registration Number.
  6. Enter your PIN and press Send.

Using a Banking App

You can also use your bank’s mobile app to pay traffic fines. Look for the option to pay URA fees or bills and enter your PRN to complete the payment.
