Getting started with using Bing’s ChatGPT

• You need to use the Microsoft Edge browser to use Bing’s AI chat tool. You can download the browser to your PC (MAC) or the app to your device (Android or iPhone). If you own a Windows PC, there is no need to download it but rather just launch it given it’s the default browser for all Windows PCs.

• Firstly, launch the Microsoft Edge browser. You should see a b icon at the top right corner of your screen. Secondly, tapping or clicking on that takes you to Bing chat. If you do not see it, try opening a new tab by pressing CTRL + T on your keyboard at the same time. You should now see the b. Upon opening the new tab and you are not yet seeing it, it might be your browser is not yet updated to the latest version.

• After selecting the Bing chat will open from the right of the screen. Type anything you would like to ask it and it will give you the answer. I will type what the meaning of life is and press enters on the keyboard.

• It generates for me the answer and also adds links to other sites where I can get more information regarding the question. The references are marked by the numbers superscripted within the text. And the links are listed below the response. You can then ask a follow up or any other question on your mind.

• Firstly, the text you are allowed to input is limited to a maximum of 2000 characters. Beyond that, the extra characters are not used to generate the response.

• Secondly, there are some searches that you are not going to get results for that. For instance, illegal or harmful activities.

• And lastly, the chatbot supports eight chats in any given session and 120 chats per day.
