Showmax has undeniable interesting content that suits kids, teens, and adults. All series/ movies on the streaming platform are categorized in ratings 16+, 13+ and 7+. As a parent or Guardian, you would want your children to access content that is appropriate for their age, that is why you decided to create a KIDS profile for them. However, 24/7 supervision of whether your children are using your profile to watch movies/series with more mature ratings is excruciating. With Showmax’s parental control settings, you can restrict access to particular content ratings by setting a Parental Control PIN. Here is how you can lock your Showmax profile with a PIN.

How to Set Parental Control/Profile Lock on Showmax
Step 1: Go to Showmax.com and sign in to your account with your email address and password.
Step 2: On the profiles page, click on “Parental Control.”
Step 3: Tap “Set Parental control” to create a global PIN that will restrict kids & teens from watching inappropriate content. Any content rated at or above your restriction will require the PIN to watch.
Step 4: You will be prompted to enter your password.
Step 5: On the Parental Control page, you will be prompted to set viewing restrictions.
- If you tap 7+, the PIN will be required for content rated 7 & above.
- If you tap 13+, the PIN will be required for content rated 13 & above.
- If you tap 16+, the PIN will be required for content rated 16 & above.
- If you tap OFF, you will have disabled viewing restrictions.
Step 6: Once you have selected the viewing restriction, you will be prompted to enter 4 digit pin. Key in the four-digit pin and tap “SET PIN CODE.” Congrats!! You have finally set a PIN for your profile. Now every time unauthorized personnel selects content that requires viewing restriction, they will need to enter a 4-digit PIN to proceed with watching content.

How to Reset Parental Control PIN on Showmax
Showmax subscribers can always reset their Parental Control PIN anytime as detailed below;
Step 1: If you fail to enter Parental Control PIN as prompted, click on Forgot PIN.
Step 2: Enter your Showmax password and hit Continue.
Step 3: You referred to the Parental Control page. The Profile Pin will be displayed. At this point, you can choose to change your PIN or use the previous one.
