2. Reset Time and Date

The WiFi error could be connected to an incorrect time setup. If the date and time are incorrect, then the error will pop up. To reset the time and date on your Android TV,

3. Allow WiFi to Estimate Location

For some apps to function well on your Android TV, you will need to enable Location Services. Here is how;

  • Go to device settings.
  • Select “Device Preferences.”
  • Click on “Location.”
  • Then set location status as “Use WiFi to estimate location.”

4. Forget the WiFi Network

This solution is just an upgraded version of the above fix and works most of the time. All you have to do is forget the WiFi network you are connecting to and then try connecting back to it again. Here is how to forget the WiFi network.

Step 1: Go to the Settings app (the gear icon).

Step 2: Under General Settings, select “Network & Internet.”

Step 3: Select the WiFi option and press OK on your remote to toggle on the WiFi connection on your Android TV.

Step 4: From the list of available networks, select and click on the network that you want to forget.

Step 5: Scroll down to and select “Forget Network.”

5. Restart the Router and Check internet is Working

Your router may be causing the problem. Restarting the router works in these scenarios. It will refresh your connection with the line and start working normally. But if it doesn’t, check if you still have a running data bundle. All internet providers have a web-based dashboard or an app to connect and manage your Wireless broadband account. You can see if the connection is active or not by login into your dashboard.
