If you are a user of Simba Fiber, a high-speed fiber optic internet service provider in Uganda, it is recommended that you change your WiFi password periodically to ensure the security of your network. Changing your Simba Fiber WiFi password is a simple process that can be done through your Simba router’s web-based interface. Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: You must access your Simba Fiber router’s web-based interface to change your Wi-Fi password. This interface allows you to configure and manage your router’s settings. You need to know your router’s IP address to access your router’s web-based interface. You can find this information at the back of your router or by contacting your internet service provider. Once you have the IP address, open a web browser and type it into the address bar. Press Enter to access the router’s login page.

Step 2: Once you are on the Simber Fiber web page, you will have to log in with your username and password. These login credentials are usually printed on a sticker at the back of your router just below the IP address. However, if you changed your login details and do not remember them, contact Simba Telecom customer care for guidance.
Step 3: If the login is successful, you will be referred to the Fast Settings menu. If circumstances change, and you are referred to the home page instead, click on the Fast Settings option in the upper right corner to launch the menu.
Quick Note: If you just want to view your Simba Fiber Wi-Fi name and password, just unhide the password characters.
Step 4: Under WiFi Configuration, you will have the option to set the Wi-Fi name and password. Tap in the 2.4G Wi-Fi Name entry to set the Wi-Fi name and the 2.4G Wi-Fi password entry to set the new password. Once you are done, with setting your new Wi-Fi password and name, click Next then tap skip on the account management option which will require you to change your web-based interface login details. You will get a configuration notification and you will be signed out from all devices that had the old password once the new password is active.
After changing your WiFi password, you will need to update all devices that use your WiFi network with the new password. This includes smartphones, tablets, laptops, gaming consoles, and smart home devices. If you didn’t change the username, you will need to forget your old network and connect to your new network using your new password.
