1. GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation):

The EU’s (European Union’s) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), for instance, bears its list of compliance requirements for app and website developers. Smaller developers that can not comply with these requirements often choose to exclude users from certain regions until they can devote their time to the issue.

2. The app is not yet launched in your country

In Uganda, about a year back, Spotify was not available for Ugandans to use. The same was true for some other African countries. But then, it later decided to allow those countries to be able to access its services. The point here is that some apps may not be available in your country because the app developers have not yet made the app available in your country yet.

3. Copyright laws

Because of copyright laws, localized partnerships, and shipping unavailability, a lot of services as a matter of course block your access when they detect your location.

4. The app is currently under development in your country

There are some apps that require changing settings, layouts, etc. for some specific countries. For example, some apps may need translating, changing the payment systems, among others.

5. The app is not compatible with your country’s demography

Some apps are made specifically for certain countries. So, however good the app is, it might not be made available

Now you know why some apps will not work in your country.
