Both the serial number and the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) are unique identifiers that differentiate a particular iPhone from the rest of the iPhones in the world. These unique numbers grant the user access to warranty status, details about your device, and even prove your ownership of the phone. You can find your iPhone serial number and IMEI number in several places, including Settings, on the physical device, in the Finder or iTunes, and on the original packaging.
