Chromecast is a line of digital media players developed by Google.

The devices are designed as small dongles (adapters). These devices can play Internet-streamed audio-visual content on a high-definition television or home audio system.

The user controls playback with a mobile device or personal computer through mobile and web apps that support the Google Cast protocol. Or by issuing commands via Google Assistant.
Alternatively, content can be mirrored from the Google Chrome web browser on a personal computer. Or from the screen of some Android devices. Read on to find out how it works.

You can connect Chromecast to your TV in a few simple steps. It’s important to use the cords and adapters that come inside the Chromecast box.

  1. Firstly, Plug one end of the USB power cable into your Chromecast and the other end of the cable into the power supply. Use the USB power cable and power adapter that are included in the box for optimal performance.
  2. Secondly, Plug your Chromecast into any open HDMI input on your TV.
  3. Thirdly, Plug the power supply into an open outlet. Note: Only use the provided AC adapter.
  4. Fourthly, On your mobile device or tablet, download the Google Home app (available on iOS and Android). Your device should meet the minimum Operating System (OS) requirements to run the Google Home app. You should be having access to an internet connection, and access to a secure wireless network.
  5. Then, At the top left of the Google Home app home screen, tap Add > Set up device >New device.
  6. After that, Follow the remaining steps.
  7. Lastly, The setup is successful. You’re all done!
