Google Search is a powerful tool that can be used for more than just finding information on the internet. One of its lesser-known features is the ability to function as a timer or stopwatch. To use Google Search as a timer:
1. Open Google Search in your web browser.
2. Type “set a timer for [time]” into the search bar, replacing [time] with the amount of time you want the timer to run for. For example, “set timer for 5 minutes” and press enter.
3. A timer will appear at the top of the search results, counting down the time you specified. You will be presented with options to Reset and Stop your Timer.

To use Google Search as a stopwatch:
1. Open Google Search in your web browser.
2. Type “stopwatch” into the search bar and press enter.
3. A stopwatch will appear at the top of the search results, ready to be started by clicking on the Start button, and anytime you feel like having a fresh start, hit the Reset button.

- You can also customize the timer or stopwatch. You do this by clicking on the settings icon (gear icon) next to the timer or stopwatch icon. This will allow you to first, adjust the duration of the timer. Secondly, choose a custom label for the timer. And thirdly, specify an alarm sound to play when the timer or stopwatch expires.
- Keep in mind that the timer or stopwatch will continue to run even if you navigate away from the search results page. So you can use it as a background timer or stopwatch while you work on other things. When the timer or stopwatch expires, it will display an alert and play an alarm sound (if you have specified one).
