How to Top up your SafeBoda Wallet
SafeBoda subscribers can top up money on their accounts in four easy ways i.e via mobile money, SafeBoda driver, SafeBoda agent and Cashless me2u transactions as explained below.
Method 1: Use Mobile Money
Follow the steps below to transfer money from mobile money to Safe Boda account;
1. Launch the Safe Boda App.
2. On the main menu, select Add Money option at the top right corner.
3. Select the Mobile Money option as a method to add money.
4. Enter the amount you want to transfer from your mobile money wallet to the SafeBoda wallet.
5. Under the mobile money number, the default number will be displayed. If you want to withdraw money from a different number click on the pencil-like icon then edit the number to your preferred number (MTN or Airtel number).
6. Click on Confirm deposit option.
7. The customer will be prompted to enter a mobile money pin in order to confirm the transaction. The notification will be sent via SMS on the confirmed number from the previous step.
8. If a correct pin is confirmed, the money will be transferred to your SafeBoda wallet immediately. You can now check your wallet account balance at the top of the screen on the main menu page.
Note: Charges apply depending on telecom company used for the above transaction.
Method 2: Use SafeBoda Driver
This method is some want an exchange made between the SafeBoda driver and the cleint. In this case, the driver offers cashless top up services in exchange for cash from client.
1. Contact a Safe Boda Driver at any Stage.
2. Request them for a Cashless top-up on your SafeBoda account. If the driver agrees, he will initiate the transaction process.
3. Confirm registered SafeBoda Contact and the amount you want to be transferred to your account.
4. The SafeBoda driver will transfer money to your SafeBoda wallet. If the transfer is successful, give cash equivalent to the amount transferred to the Safe Boda driver.
Note: This service is typicallly free and both the driver and SafeBoda subscriber must stay woke to avoid fraud.

Method 3: Use SafeBoda Agent
This method is similar to mobile money agent top-ups. All you have to do is locate the Agent premises, to do so click on Add Money option, select Safe Boda Agent then review the nearest agent in your area.
1. Go to the nearest SafeBoda agent in your area.
2. Request Cashless top.
3. Share your SafeBoda contact and the amount you are willing to pay for.
4. Hand in the cash to the SafeBoda Agent equivalent to the money you want to be transferred into your account.
5. The SafeBoda agent will commence with the transaction. As soon as the process is complete, you will get a confirmatory notification. Do not leave the agent premises before you fully confirm that your wallet was successfully recharged.
Note: The transfer process is charge free so the agent will not charge the subscriber.
The SafeBoda subscriber can choose to gift another subscriber with cashless or they can perform an inter-subscriber transaction in exchange for cash as they wish. Follow the prompts below to share cashless with your friend;
1. Open the SafeBoda app on your device.
2. Click on the Send Money option.
3. Select Beneficiary or the recipient’s contact.
4. Enter the amount you want to share and also write a note then tap on the Next button. Subscribers can share cashless ranging from UGX 500 to UGX 3,000,000.
5. Confirm transation with your 4-digit SafeBoda pin.
6. A confirmation notification will appear on the sender’s screen and the amount transfered will immediately reflect into the recipient’s SafeBoda account.
Note: Sharing funds from one SafeBoda account to anther is totally free.
