The National Interuniversity Agh-Investment Seminar (NIAS 2019) is a one stop Agribusiness Innovations and Technologies Centre. It brings together Universities/Tertiary Institutions in Uganda to showcase the different Agribusiness Innovations and Technologies.
The theme is; i4ARM iEARN.
This year, over 800 participants from 40 Universities/Tertiary Institutions with are expected to attend this wonderful event hosted at Makerere University.

What to Expect at this year’s NIAS seminar
- The seminar will be a hive of activities that will include;
- Showcase of different University student Agribusinesses innovations and technologies.
- Pitching of best Agribusiness Innovations from different Universities/institutions.
- Intellectual Property (IP) Sensitization Panel discussions on strategic areas for investment in Agriculture and climate change adaptation in Agribusiness context.
- Agribusiness financing strategies for young entrepreneurs
- Awards to best innovations and technologies exhibited.
The National Inter-University Agricultural Seminar (NIAS) is organized by Farmer Investment Opportunities and Market (FIOM Uganda) in collaboration with Makerere University College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (CAES) and supported by Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovations (MOSTI)
Entrance is free and participants will receive free drinks and snacks, however, attendance is by registration.
