Text replacement shortcuts are essentially customizable abbreviations that, when typed, automatically expand into longer phrases or sentences. For instance, typing “BRB” could be set to automatically replace with “Be right back.”

Setup Text Replacement Shortcuts on Your Samsung

Use Samsung Phone Settings

1. Open the Settings app on your phone.

2. Find General Management and tap on it.

3. Select Samsung Keyboard settings followed by Text Shortcuts 

4. On the Shortcut page, tap on the + button in the top right-hand corner to create a new shortcut. Now go ahead and enter the shortcut word or phrase followed by the full text that you would like the shortcut to replace.

Use Samsung Keyboard Settings

1. When entering text in a designated field, select the keyboard icon located at the bottom-right corner of your keyboard.

2. Navigate to Settings adjacent to Samsung Keyboard and proceed to Text Shortcuts.

3. Add a new entry by selecting the + symbol in the upper-right section.

4. Enter the desired phrase in the Phrase field, and specify the corresponding text shortcut in the Shortcut field.
