The need to capture full-page screenshots in Microsoft edge might emerge at any time. Luckily, the Microsoft Edge web browser has a built-in feature “WEB CAPTURE” which captures the entire web page in JPEG format. Web page screenshots saved in JPEG format make it easy to store and share web pages especially if you are using messaging platforms like Message, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp.

In this post, we will share with you a step-by-step guide on how to take full-page screenshots in Microsoft Edge.

Step 1: To usher in, first, launch the Microsoft Edge browser on your Windows or Mac computer. Visit the web page that you want to capture. After the page has opened, scroll to the bottom of the page to make sure that the Web Capture feature loads all images in the article. Be reminded that the Web capture feature does not include images if you didn’t scroll through the page.

Step 2: Click on the three-dot icon at the top-right corner. From the displayed popup menu select the Web Capture option. Alternatively, you can press CTRL + Shift + S.

Quick Note: If the Web Capture feature is unavailable in the displayed tools bar, you will be prompted to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

Step 3: You will be presented with two capture options; Capture Area, and Capture Full Screen. If you want to capture the entire page, click on Capture Full Screen.

Step 4: Now you will be referred to the editing window where you can draw and make doodles or notes.

Step 5: If you are satisfied with the captured screenshot, click the Save button to download the screenshot.

By default, the screenshot will be saved to the Downloads folder on your computer. However, if you have failed to locate the screenshot in the Download folder, you can find out the location of your Downloads folder by going to Edge’s Settings, click on Downloads at the left-side navigation bar, and under Location, you should see the destination folder.
