Step 1: Enable the Screenshot Feature on your Apple Watch
Apple Watch users need to first enable the Screenshot feature in order to successfully take screenshots. Enabling this feature can be done on the Apple Watch or via the Apple Watch app on an iPhone.
Enable on Apple Watch
- Go to the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
- Under the Settings menu, select General.
- Scroll down and select the Screenshots option from the displayed menu.
- Toggle on the “Enable Screenshots” feature. When the feature is enabled, you will b enable to take screenshots on your Apple Watch.
Enable on iPhone
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap on the General Settings option.
- Scroll down until you spot the “Enable Screenshots” category. Toggle this on to activate the feature. The icon should appear green once it’s on.
Step 2: Take Screenshots on your Apple Watch
After enabling the screenshot feature for your Apple Watch, you can now go ahead and take as many screenshots as you wish. To take screenshots;
- Launch the part of the screen that you want to screenshot.
- Next press both the digital crown and the side button at the same time. You will be able to hear the camera shutter sound if your phone is not on silent mode.
- Congrats! You have successfully taken a screenshot of your Apple Watch.
Where are Apple Watch Screenshots Saved?
Now that you have successfully taken screenshots on Apple Watch, you could be wondering where you can find them for viewing and sharing purposes.
The Apple Watch screenshots will be saved on iPhone’s photo library. Therefore you need to check the iPhone that your Apple Watch is synced to. To view the screenshots on your iPhone, start the Photo library and scroll down to the “Media Types” section. Tap “Screenshots” to locate your Apple Watch screenshots. The screenshots that you took on your Apple Watch will appear in that section.
