How to Stop Autorenew for Safaricom Data Bundle

The auto-renew feature will automatically activate a new data bundle as soon as the previous bundle has expired or is used up. As much as this feature is a lifesaver for busy people, it can also be troublesome especially if it scoops airtime designated for something else. Now that we agree about that, we need to deactivate the autorenew feature on the daily data bundle, weekly data bundle, and monthly data bundle. Here is how you can stop the autorenew feature for the Safaricom data bundle.

Stop Autorenew for Safaricom Data Bundle

The subscriber can use either *100# or *544# USSD code and follow the prompts to deactivate autorenew.

Method 1:

  1. Dial *100# and press OK.get
  2. Select option 9, Buy.
  3. Choose option 1, Data Bundle (NO EXPIRY DATE).
  4. Then select option 5, Stop Autorenew.

Method 2:

  1. Launch dialer
  2. Dial *544# and press the call button.
  3. Opt for option 1, Data Bundle (NO EXPIRY DATE) and press the send button.
  4. Then select option 5, Stop Autorenew.
