Smile data bundles include OTT Tax
If you have been worried about paying OTT tax, and had opted for the ‘free but expensive’ VPN, here’s a friend to keep you on your browsing game, without having to pay separately for OTT. This is because, at SMILE, all data bundles have the status of OTT-tax compliant. This, therefore, means that any customer who chooses SMILE data bundles will not be charged a separate OTT tax.
If you paying OTT in Uganda is a burden for you, the Smile OTT tax will be automatically deducted from your data bundles.

How to pay for SMILE internet
There are two ways you can pay for smile internet in Uganda.
1. Using the smile website
If you want to buy data for your SMILE SIM card:
- Visit www.smile.co.ug, then go ahead and click on LOGIN.
- You will be required to log into MySmile using your username plus your password.
- Go ahead and select the bundle that you would like to recharge with.
- Make your payment with Mobile Money or XpressRecharge or MySmile
2. Using other apps
You can also recharge smile data using Tingg app (Formerly Mula), which you can download from google playstore for Android. For iOS users, recharge can be done using an app called ChapChap app from App Store, and also available for Android users on Google play store.
