Why Simba Fiber is Not Working?

There could be several reasons why Simba fiber Internet is not working. Here are a few common possibilities

  1. Network outage.
  2. Equipment malfunction.
  3. Billing or account-related issues.
  4. Wi-Fi connectivity problems.
  5. Local network issues.
  6. Power shortage.

Here is how to fix Simba Fiber Internet Not Working

When facing issues with Simba Fiber Internet not working, there are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve the problem. Here is a guide to help you fix the issue:

1. Expired Subscription

When troubleshooting issues with Simba Fiber Internet, one of the initial steps is to verify the status of your subscription. It’s crucial to ensure that your Simba Fiber subscription is active and not expired, as an expired subscription can lead to service disruptions-no internet connection.

To check the status of your subscription, you can review your account details through Simba’s online portal or by contacting their customer support. If there is a need to renew your subscription, do this.

2. Verify Power Supply

The Simba Teclom router is a plug-in device which means it can only work if it is connected to the power source. In simple terms, if there is no available power supply, the router will be off, and thus, the WiFI will disappear from your saved connection list. Therefore, ensure that your router is receiving adequate power- check if the power option on the router has a blinking light. If not, check if the power outlets the router is connected to are working properly. If necessary, try plugging out the router’s power cable into different outlets. Also, verify if the power is on.

3. Check Physical Connections

At this point, you will need to ensure that all physical connections (power cable, fibers, and other connection cables) are secure. Simba Fiber uses fiber cables to connect you to their internet services. If the fiber is damaged or cut, you will experience issues with your WiFi. Also if the power cable or optical cable is damaged, there will be errors in your WIFI connection. Check all cables, including the power cable and optical cable connecting the router to the fiber system. Make sure they are firmly plugged in and there are no visible damages.

4. Perform a Speed Test

Conducting a speed test can help determine if the issue is related to your internet speed. Visit a reputable speed testing website or use a dedicated speed testing application. Run the test while directly connected to the Simba internet to get the most accurate results. Compare the obtained speeds with the expected speeds from your Simba Fiber plan. If there is a significant difference, it may indicate an issue that needs further investigation. POV- My Simba Fiber plan gives me 15 Mbps and when I run the speed test, my speed was estimated between 13.44 Mbps and 14 Mbps.

Quick Note: Each Simba Fiber plan has a dedicated internet speed attached to it and the amount of devices that you can connect to that WIFI connection is unlimited. This means Simba Router’s connection Type is Multi. However much you can connect as many devices as you wish, that will slow your internet. Therefore if your internet levels are lower than what you subscribed for, check and log out of all the strange connected devices.

5. Maybe you are Far Away

While the distance from the Wi-Fi source can affect the strength and quality of your Simba Fiber connection, it may not be a common cause for issues with the actual fiber connection itself. Simba Fiber typically utilizes a wired fiber optic connection to deliver high-speed internet directly to your router. However, the Wi-Fi signal transmitted by your router can be impacted by distance, obstacles, and interference, which can indirectly affect your overall internet experience.

When it comes to Wi-Fi, the signal strength tends to weaken as you move farther away from the router. Walls, floors, and other physical barriers can also obstruct the signal, resulting in a weaker connection or no connection at all. Therefore, if you are experiencing connectivity issues while using Wi-Fi, distance from the router can be a contributing factor. You guessed the anti-dot, right? Get closer to the router or put it in the center to distribute signals across your home.

6. Restart your Simba Fiber Router

Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Begin by turning off your router (the power button is located at the back of the router). Unplug the router’s power cable from the device and wait for at least 30 seconds. Then, plug the router’s power cable back into the power source and power on your router. Allow the device to boot up fully before checking your connection. This will take approximately 60 seconds.

6. Contact Simba Fiber Customer care

If the previous steps do not resolve the issue, it’s time to reach out to Simba Fiber’s customer support team. They have the expertise to diagnose and address more complex problems.
