In the past, sharing ChatGPT conversations presented challenges, primarily involving screenshots or copying and pasting the content. To alleviate this issue, OpenAI introduced a new functionality called Shared Links for ChatGPT. This feature enables users to effortlessly share their conversations and chats through various channels such as social media, email, and more. Additionally, recipients of the shared link can easily continue the conversation.
This convenient feature is accessible to all users, whether they are using the free or paid version of ChatGPT. Currently, Shared Links are accessible through the ChatGPT website, with plans to extend this feature to the iOS app in the near future. So, if you want to share your ChatGPT chats with others, this new capability will make the process seamless and hassle-free.

Share Links to Your ChatGPT Chats
1. Access your ChatGPT account and initiate a new chat by clicking on “New Chat.”
2. Once the chat is active, navigate to the left side of the ChatGPT dashboard.
3. Find the chat you want to share and locate the Share icon; click on it.
4. A preview of the conversation snapshot will appear, allowing you to review it before sending it.
5. To modify the conversation title, click on the pencil icon next to the automatically generated title.
6. For personalization, you have the option to share the chat with your name by clicking on the three dots and selecting “Share your name.” Alternatively, you can share it anonymously.
7. Once you’ve made the desired settings, click on “Copy Link.” Now, you’re all set to share the chat link with your friends, colleagues, or collaborators.
After sharing the link, anyone possessing a ChatGPT account can use it to engage in the conversation and pose follow-up questions. For individuals without an account, the conversation will be displayed as a static webpage, granting them access to view the interactions between you and the AI chatbot.
It’s important to note that any conversations that take place after sharing the link won’t automatically update on the public link. Thus, if you wish to share the latest content, you’ll need to re-share the link.

How to Delete or Block Shared Links
In addition to sharing links anonymously, you also have the option to delete shared links if you no longer want others to access them. To delete your shared links, follow these steps:
1. Click on your name located at the bottom-left of the page.
2. From the menu that appears, select “Settings.”
3. Proceed to the Data Controls section and select “Manage.” A list of your shared links will be displayed.
4. To remove specific shared links, click on the Trash icon next to each one. Alternatively, if you want to delete all shared links at once, click on the ellipses (…) and follow the prompts.
By deleting the link, you have made it inaccessible to others. It’s essential to note that since the shared link is public and allows continued conversations, deleting it might not affect individuals who have already engaged in the conversation on their own ChatGPT accounts.
