By default, when you share a YouTube Link, the receiver will start at the beginning of the video. However, in moments where you would like the link receiver to get straight into the parts of the YouTube video that hold your message, there is an option for you to send a YouTube Link with a Timestamp or share a video at a specific time.

YouTube time stamps enable users to share a video link that starts playing at a specific moment rather than the beginning. This feature is particularly useful for directing viewers to a particular scene or segment.

Send YouTube Link with Timestamp

There are two methods through which you can send a YouTube link with Timestamp;

Let’s get started;

Method 1:

To create a time stamp, pause the video at the desired moment, right-click on the video player, and select “Copy video URL at the current time.” Once you have copied the URL, paste it to your desired destination.

6. Once that is all set, copy the YouTube link and share it with your friends. Alternatively, you can choose to embed or send using the displayed apps like WhatsApp, Reddit, Email, Facebook, and X.

Now, whoever uses the link that you have sent, will be referred to the start time that you set rather than the beginning of the video.
