How to Send Money via the Wave App
Method 1:
This method is for those who have not yet registered with Wave mobile money. To get started you need to download the app then create a Wave account. Follow the steps below to transfer money.
1. Download and install the Wave app on your device from either Google Play Store or App Store.
2. Launch the Wave app on your device.
3. Key in your preferred mobile number (Airtel/MTN number).
4. Enter the secret code that was sent via SMS on the registered number.
5. Register your full names, by doing so you will have accepted the terms and conditions of using the Wave app.
6. Next, you will have to create your wave log-in pin. Enter and confirm your new pin.
7. Hereafter, you will be referred to the main menu page.
8. Click on the SEND button.
9. Allow the app to access your contact list.
10. Enter the recipient’s number from the contact list by entering their initials or click Send to a new number then input full names and mobile number. Click the next button.
11. Key in the amount that you will like to send.
12. The system will charge you 1% of the principal. Then reflect the Receive amount.
13. Click SEND to proceed with the transaction.
Method 2:
This method is for existing wave customers;
1. Launch the Wave app on your device.
2. key in the 4-digit pin.
3. Tap on SEND.
4. Enter the recipient’s number from the contact list by entering their initials or click Send to a new number then input full names and mobile number. Click the next button.
5. Key in the amount that you will like to send.
6. The system will charge you 1% of the principal. Then reflect the Receive amount.
7. Click SEND to proceed with the transaction.
