Send Money from any network to any network in Uganda
If you are in Uganda, you can now send money to all networks. From Airtel to MTN/Africell, MTN to Airtel/Africell and Africell to MTN/Airtel.
Mobile money transactions having such a boundless scale of exchange bridges a gap that connects all networks and ensures more unlimited money exchange and grows the economy in the long-run.
The costs of sending across MTN and Airtel interchangeably are quite hiked (they are doubled and for some amounts extremely beyond the amount of sending across each independent network), which is quite the opposite for their counterpart Africell who charges the same amount for on-network and other-network transactions.
How to send money from Airtel to other networks.
- Dial *185#
- Select Option 1 “Send Money”
- Selection Option 1 to send to “Airtel or other number” or Option 2 to send to “MTN Number”
- Enter the number
- Enter Amount
- Enter Reference number (This can be any number)
- Enter your pin
- The money shall be sent and a notification message to confirm delivery sent to your phone.
How to send money from MTN to other networks
- Dial *165#
- Select Option 1 “Send Money”
- Select Option 1 “Mobile User”
- Enter phone number
- Enter Amount
- Enter your pin
- The money shall be sent and a notification message to confirm delivery sent to your phone.
How to send money from Africell to other networks
- Dial *144#
- Select Option 1 “Send Money”
- Select Option 2 “Send to Other Networks” (Particularly MTN)
- Enter the recipient’s phone number
- Enter amount
- Enter your PIN
- The money shall be sent and you receive SMS confirmation of the transaction with; amount sent, charges, balance, receiver number
How to send money from Africell to a non-registered customer
This is where the airtel customer can receive money from an africell customer
- Dial *144#
- Select Option 1 “Send Money”
- Select Option 3 “Non registered user”
- Enter amount
- Receive a secret passcode by SMS
- Enter your PIN
- Confirm the transaction details
- Communicate the secret passcode to the receiver
Note: The receiver has 15 days to withdraw the amount at any Africell Money Agent
