This service allows you to share up to UShs 200 000 airtime directly from one mobile phone to another.

How to share airtime on MTN

Simply dial *160*6# ​and follow the on-screen prompts. After any MTN Me2U transaction, both the sender and the recipient will receive an SMS from MTN confirming the completed transaction.

“Me2U” is airtime transfer service that is designed to enable subscribers share airtime (credit) on their airtel lines with their friends and families, also on airtel lines as frequently as they desire to do so, irrespective of location and time.

AFRICELL Easy Share

Africell launched its commercial operations in Uganda in November 2014, having completed the acquisition of Orange Uganda earlier in the year. The acquired network has over 650 radio sites with a coverage footprint spanning the majority of Uganda and serving more than 3,000,000 active subscribers offering 2G, 3G, and LTE in Kampala. The network has been ranked #1 for quality of service by the Ugandan Regulator UCC.

With Africell Uganda, the airtime share service that many people prefer to call Me2U is known as Easy Share. It allows Africell customers to share airtime with each other.

Easy Share is a service that allows Africell subscribers to transfer airtime to other Africell subscribers.

How to share airtime on Africell

To transfer airtime, dial *143* Africell receiver number * amount #

For example: *143* 0790123456 * 2000 #.

In this example, 0790123456 will receive 2000 /- airtime

After the transaction has been made a message will be sent to the sender and the receiver to confirm this transaction.

Uganda Telecom allows subscribers to transfer airtime from one Mobile subscriber to another

SMART Telecom

Smart Uganda is a telecommunications network company in Uganda. It was established in March 2014 and still in existence to date. The company is owned and operated by Industrial Promotion Services, a subsidiary of the Aga Khan Fund for Development. The company first launched in Uganda and has made successful expansions in Burundi and Tanzania.

SMART Telecom currently does not have an airtime share service in Uganda.
