How to Send and Withdraw Money Using the SafeBoda App

SafeBoda enables individuals to send money from their SafeBoda wallet to another SafeBoda account. Money transfers are so far free. So the customer can then choose to withdraw the money from their SafeBoda wallet.

Here is how you can send and withdraw money using the SafeBoda app.

How to Send Money via the SafeBoda App

Follow the steps below to send money via the SafeBoda App;

1. Launch the SafeBoda app on your device.

2. Tap on the Send Money option.

3. Choose the Beneficiary or the recipient’s contact.

4. Enter the amount you want to share and also write a note then tap on the Next button. Subscribers can share cashless ranging from UGX 500 to UGX 3,000,000.

5. Confirm the transaction with your 4-digit SafeBoda pin.

6. A confirmation notification will appear on the sender’s screen and the amount transferred will immediately reflect into the recipient’s SafeBoda account.

How to Withdraw Money via the SafeBoda App

SafeBoda customers can withdraw money ranging from UGX 500 to UGX 3,000,000. The withdrawal steps are divided into 3 categories; category 1-visiting agent premises, category 2-initiating the withdrawal process, and category 3- SafeBoda Agent final transaction. Follow the steps below to withdraw money via the SafeBoda app.

Step 1: Visit the nearest SafeBoda Agent.

SafeBoda subscribers can only withdraw money via the SafeBoda Agents. Therefore the subscriber must visit the nearest SafeBoda agent in his/her area. To check for SafeBoda agent locations;

1. Open the SafeBoda App.
2. Click on the “Find Agent” feature.
3. In the search bar, key in your area or till number.
4. A list of agent shops in the listed area will pop up on the screen.
5. Visit the SafeBoda Agent premises to proceed with the withdrawal transaction.

Step 2: Initiate Withdraw Transaction

After you have successfully spotted an authorized SafeBoda agent, tell the agent that you would like to withdraw money from your SafeBoda wallet. The agent will inquire about the amount you intend to withdraw to verify if they have enough float. If all is well, the agent will request you to initiate the transaction.

1. Launch the SafeBoda App.
2. Click Withdraw.
3. A new page will load prompting the subscriber to confirm withdrawing money from SafeBoda wallet at any SafeBoda agent with the SafeBoda App. Click the Withdraw button.
4. Select Agent details. You can also ask for the Agent details from the agent premises then search for details in the search bar.
5. Enter the Amount you want to withdraw and also add a reason for withdrawal. Click the Next button to proceed.
6. The transaction detail confirmation page will load. Review the Agent details, the total amount to withdraw plus charges then tap the Confirm button to proceed.
7. Enter your SafeBoda Pin and click Withdraw.
8. The amount will be transfered to the Agent whose details you confirmed in the previous stage.

Step 3: SafeBoda Agent Final Transaction

After the money has been transferred into the Agent’s account. The customer will have to confirm contact details with the agent to approve the withdrawal. The agent will verify details then hand cash to the customer.
