1. Launch WhatsApp on your phone.
2. Go to the Chats tab and select the chat whose messages you would like to search.
3. Once the chat is open, tap on the chat header or name.
4. Tap on the Search option (magnifying glass) to launch the Search bar.
5. In the search bar, you can enter specific keywords, or phrases to search for messages. To search for messages by date, tap on the calendar icon located in the middle-right corner of the screen just above the keyboard. Choose the preferred date, month, and year then tap on Jump to Date. You will be referred to messages of the period that you selected. The search results will include both incoming and outgoing messages, as well as media files, links, and documents sent on that date.
You can scroll through the results to find the message or conversation you’re looking for. If you need to refine your search further, you can select another timeline.
