#1. Safaricom Users
To reverse Safaricom airtime sent to the wrong number, forward the Mpesa message to 456. Immediately you realize that you have sent airtime to the wrong number, you need to contact Safaricom Customer Care agents. Do this by dialing 100 on your mobile phone or contacting them on their social media platform. This includes their Twitter handle @SafaricomPLC, Facebook account page, or WhatsApp with Zuri.
You will be required to provide the details of your transaction. These include the mobile number to which you erroneously sent the airtime. In addition to this, the amount of airtime that you sent, and the last top-up on your line. This will enable them to confirm ownership of the line.
The reverse will be done if the credit sent has not been spent by the receiving party otherwise the reversal will fail.
NOTE: If you bought the airtime through a bank or sent it through Sambaza, then there is no way you can reverse the airtime. The only option is to liaise with the recipient.
