  • Press Win button, and search for Control panel.
  • In the control panel, search for Recovery and select it when the results appear
  • Click open system Restore and proceed to Next
  • Select the restore point related to the problem such as driver/app and click Next, then Finish.

Go back to your previous Windows version

If the reason you want to reset your computer is related to the changes that occurred while upgrading your windows version, then resetting it may not be the most relevant solution. There is always a 10 days grace period. Within this time, you can still go back to your previous version.

Your personal files in this period are still backed up for you, but not your apps. Below are steps that you need to follow in case you need to go back.

  • Click recovery

Whenever you want to reset your computer settings, no need to uninstalling your Windows Os. Follow these steps to restore default settings without losing your operating system.

  1. Open Settings by holding down Win + I to load the setting window. Or simply click the start menu and select the setting gear icon.
  2. In the setting window, click update and security
  3. Click on the Recovery tab
  4. Under reset this Pc, select Get Started.
  5. Windows Recovery Manager will prompt you to select your best option, either to keep your personal files and erase your apps, or to wipe everything.
  • Keeping your personal files will restore your computers and spare your files to the point when your computer was brand new.
  • Removing everything on the other hand will delete everything including your personal file and downloaded applications.
  1. Click next after selecting your best option to confirm your decision, and windows will display everything that you will lose.
  2. Click Reset to proceed with the restoration process, and your data will be wiped out as indicated by your Windows recovery manager.

When this process is complete, your computer will be new again. If you made any backups, now is the time to restore your backed-up files and apps.
