DSTV Parental Control Default Pin
The DSTV parental control default pin is 1234. This is the pin you will enter the first time you configure parental control settings on your decoder.
How to Change Parental Contol Pin on DSTV
1. Go to the DSTV menu by pressing the DStv button on your remote.
2. Select Settings.
3. Opt for the Parental Control option.
4. Choose PG Settings and open it.
5. Enter the current pin. The DSTV parental control default pin is 1234.
6. Select the Change PIN option.
7. Enter the new 4 digit PIN that you prefer.
8. Confirm the PIN (4 digits) and press OK. The new pin will be saved immediately.
9. Press on return to exit.
Reset DSTV Parental Control Pin
If you have forgotten your pin, the only way you can configure Parental control settings is by resetting the decoder to factory settings.
1. Go to the menu by pressing the blue “DStv button” on your remote control.
2. Select “Settings“ by pressing the right arrow key.
3. Scroll down and select “System Settings“.
4. Use the right arrow to go to the next menu and select Reset Decoder Settings.
5. Scroll down and select “Reset To Factory Default” then press “OK” on your remote control.
6. Your decoder will reboot again. Let the auto-scan finish.
7. Go to the DSTV menu by pressing the DStv button on your remote.
8. Select Settings.
9. Opt for the Parental Control option.
10. Choose PG Settings and open it.
11. Enter the current pin. The DSTV parental control default pin is 1234.
12. Select the Change PIN option.
13. Enter the new 4 digit PIN that you prefer.
14. Confirm the PIN (4 digits) and press OK. The new pin will be saved immediately.
