How to Reset DSTV Decoder with a Remote
1. Power on your DSTV decoder and make sure it is properly connected to the TV set.
2. Press the blue DSTV button on your remote control. It will open the menu list.
3. Using the right arrow key, select Settings.
4. Then scroll down and select “System Settings“.
5. Use the right arrow to go to the next menu and select Reset Decoder Settings.
6. Scroll down and select “Reset To Factory Default” then press “OK” on your remote control.
7. Your decoder will reboot again. Let the auto-scan finish. All your decoder settings are back to default and error codes are cleared.

Reset DSTV decoder without a Remote / Manually
1. Ensure that your GOTV set is completely turned off. To verify this, no blinking lights show appear on your decoder.
2. Switch on your decoder.
3. Then long-press and keep hold of the RESET button on the decoder.
4. Grab your phone and send a RESET message to DTV customer care using the number you registered with.
5. After sending the message, release the RESET button.
6. The decoder will reset and reboot itself. Do not interrupt the process.
