UBA mobile banking enables customers to make deposits, transfer money, buy airtime, pay utilities, check account balance, view statements and withdraw money on their mobile phones. To get a tip-off of this amazing service, the customer should register/enroll for it. Here is how you can register for UBA mobile banking in Uganda.
KCB Mobile Banking Registration Requirements
The UBA mobile banking registration requirements are categorized into two categories; category 1 for Bank customers and category 2 for New customers.
Category 1: If you are already a UBA customer, here are the required requirements;
- UBA Account Number.
- National Identification Card.
- Registered phone number.
Category 2: If you are not a customer, you will be required to open an account and during the account opening process, you will enable the mobile banking service. Here below is what you need to get started.
- 1 current passport photograph of yourself.
- Valid identification document – National ID or Passport for foreign nationals.
- Valid email address and phone number.

How to Register for UBA Mobile Banking in Uganda
Go to the nearest UBA bank branch in your area.
At the Customer Care counter, request to be enrolled for UBA mobile banking services.
The agent will give you the mobile banking application form. Fill in all the required information then hand over the filled-in application form to the agent with a photocopy of your identity document.
Your duty as the applicant is done for now. The customer care agent will update your data in the bank system pending approval from the branch manager.
As soon as the Manager approves the application, an SMS will be sent to the registered phone number detailing login details (One Time Password (OTP)) within 24 hours.
To log in to your account dial *245# and follow the prompts or download and install the UBA Mobile app from Google Play Store and App Store.
