KCB mobile banking enables customers to make deposits, transfer money, buy airtime, pay utilities, check account balance, view statements and withdraw money on their mobile phones. To get a tip-off of this amazing service, the customer should register/enroll for it. Here is how you can register for KCB mobile banking in Uganda.
KCB Mobile Banking Registration Requirements
The KCB mobile banking registration requirements are categorized into two categories; category 1 for Bank customers and category 2 for New customers.
Category 1: If you are already a KCB customer, here are the required requirements;
- KCB Account Number.
- National Identification Card.
- Registered phone number.
Category 2: If you are not a customer, you will be required to open an account and during the account opening process, you will enable the mobile banking service. Here below is what you need to get started.
- 1 current passport photograph of yourself.
- Valid identification document – National ID or Passport for foreign nationals.
- Valid email address and phone number.

How to Register for KCB Mobile Banking in Uganda
1. Visit the nearest KCB bank branch in your area. Click here for KCB branch locations around the country.
2. At the Customer Care desk, request the mobile banking application form.
3. Fill in all the required information and attach the identity card photocopy. Hand over the document to the Customer care agent.
4. The agent will update the information in the system.
5. The branch manager will approve the application and upon successful enrollment, the customer will receive the SMS detailing Login credentials like the mobile banking PIN and how to log in.
6. To get started with KCB mobile banking, dial *244#, enter the One Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS, set up a new secure pin, and make any preferred transaction. Alternatively, you can download and install the KCB mobile app from Google Play Store for Androids and App Store for IOS then sign in with the OTP sent via SMS.
