To get a tip-off of this amazing service, the customer should register/enroll for it. Here is how you can register for DTB mobile banking in Uganda.

DTB Mobile Banking Registration Requirements

The DTB mobile banking registration requirements are categorized into two categories; category 1 for Bank customers and category 2 for New customers.

Category 1: If you are already a DTB customer, here are the required requirements;

  • DTB bank Account Number.
  • National Identification Card.
  • Registered phone number.

Category 2: If you are not a customer, you will be required to open an account and during the account opening process, you will enable the mobile banking service. Here below is what you need to get started.

  • 1 current passport photograph of yourself.
  • Valid identification document – National ID or Passport for foreign nationals.
  • Valid email address and phone number.

How to Register for DTB Mobile Banking in Uganda

The account holders can register for DTB mobile by either visiting the nearest DTB bank branch or by contacting customer care service as explained below;

Contact DTB customer care

1. The account holder should call the DTB Customer care toll-free number 0800 242242 using the registered phone number (this is the number you registered during account opening).

2. Request the agent to enroll you for DTB mobile banking in Uganda.

3. The agent will request you to read your account number.

4. After the information assessment is complete, the details will be updated in the system. Within 24 hours, you will receive a PIN via SMS.

5. Download and install the DTB app (Play Store or App Store) on your device or dial *202#, enter the pin that was sent via SMS then start transacting.

Visit DTB bank

1. Go to the nearest DTB bank branch. Click here for locations.

2. At the customer care desk, request for DTB mobile banking enrollment.

3. The customer service agent will give you a form, fill in all the information then hand in the form.

4. The details will be updated in the system. Upon approval, the account holder will receive a pin via SMS on the registered phone number.

NOTE: The method listed above is for those who are registering for mobile banking services for the first time. iIf you had had registered with the bank but you lost your pin, you can choose to reset pin via the app or the USSD short code.
