Coronavirus disease(COVID-19) is an unpopular topic in the headlines today but there are still new cases of people affected by COVID-19 every other day. COVID-19 is a communicable disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This means it can be transmitted from one person to another via air. People suffering from COVID-19 might experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment but some will become seriously ill and need special medical attention. The decline in Covid-19 patients in Kenya is somewhat attributed to vaccination. Vaccines have proven that we can get to normalcy in COVID-19 presence, therefore, it is important for everyone to get vaccinated. It is also a requirement when traveling to other countries and also when people from other countries are visiting our country.

You need to be vaccinated to have a COVID-19 certificate. The Ministry of Health in Kenya assured Kenyans that there are more than enough vaccines to go around every part of the country and that Kenyans over the age and above years old should visit their nearest medical facilities to receive the vaccination. They also introduced the Chanjo platform which is a self-service portal where all residents within the republic of Kenya can register to receive their Covid-19 vaccination and get the certificate from the system.
