Similar to Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and iMessage, WhatsApp users can now react to a message using their favorite emojis. Chatting has gotten much easier, especially for group chats where you can not respond to every chat that you missed. Now all you have to do is use an emoji to help reciprocate your feelings towards a WhatsApp message. WhatsApp users can react to messages in both individual and group chats with emojis. Also, you can view all reactions to a message by tapping the reactions emoji below the message.
Before we get started, you need to ensure that you are using the latest version of WhatsApp. The latest version was released on May 5, 2022, becoming available to all users on Android, iOS, and desktop app versions. Only Android users with the 2.22.10.74 version and iOS 22.9.76 version will have access to the emoji react feature.

How to React to a Message on WhatsApp Mobile App
Step 1: Start WhatsApp on your phone.
Step 2: Open the chat of your preference and long press on the message to which you wish to react.
Step 3: Select an emoji you prefer from the pop-up menu. For now, WhatsApp only displays 6 emojis to use as message reactions, however, you can choose to add your favorite emoji to the list by tapping on the cross icon, then go ahead and select the preferred emoji.
Step 4: Once you tap on the emoji, it will be instantly sent to the recipient and the message reaction will appear below the selected message. That’s it.
How to React to a Message on WhatsApp Web
Step 1: Go to the message that you want to react to. This should reveal a small emoji icon next to the message.
Step 2: The reaction emojis menu will pop up. Go ahead and select the emoji that you want to react with.
Step 3: The reaction will be sent instantly.
How to Remove WhatsApp Message Reacts
Step 1: Tap on the emoji at the bottom of the message.
Step 2: In the pop-up, tap your reaction to remove it from the message.
