Keep in mind that some of your followers will not scroll through thousands of tweets to find something that will make them more interested in your account. Wondering what you should do, just pin your favorite tweet to your Twitter profile.

The pinned tweet will always stick at the top of all other new and old tweets plus they will be labeled as pinned in the upper left corner of the tweet. In this tutorial, we show you a step-by-step guide on how to pin a Tweet on Twitter via the web version and the mobile app.

How to Pin Tweets on Twitter via the Mobile App

1. Open the Twitter app and sign in to your account.

2. Tap on your profile picture and select profile.

3. Once you are on your profile page, select tweets to see tweets that you have posted and retweeted.

4. Scroll down and find the tweet that you would like to pin.

5. After finding the Tweet, tap on the More options icon (three parallel dots) just beside it.

6. From the displayed options, select “Pin to your Profile.” Just like that, the tweet will be pinned to your profile.

7. To unpin a tweet on Twitter, tap on the More options icon just next to the tweet and select “Unpin from Profile.” The tweet will be unpinned and the recent tweets will appear at the top.

How to Pin Tweets on Twitter for the Website

1. To get started, launch the preferred browser and go to Twitter then sign in to your account.

2. On the Twitter home page, select “Profile” from the sidebar on the left to launch your Twitter profile page.

3. On the profile page, scroll down the tweets list and find the tweet you want to pin.

4. Upon finding the tweet, click the three dots at the top-right corner of the tweet to open a menu.

5. From the displayed menu, select “Pin to your Profile.” Twitter will then urge you to confirm pinning action, tap Continue to accept the prompt. Thereafter the selected tweet will be pinned at the top of your profile. You can go ahead and check it out yourself.

6. To unpin a tweet on Twitter, tap on the More options icon just next to the tweet and select “Unpin from Profile.” The tweet will be unpinned and the recent tweets will appear at the top.

Quick Note: You can only Pin original Tweets or Quote Tweets. When you tap on a normal Retweet, the pin option will not appear among the menu options. Therefore, if you want to pin someone else’s tweet on your profile, go to the tweet that your want to pin, tap on Quote Tweet, add content, and then click Tweet. The Quote Tweet will be added to your profile. Go ahead and pin it as described in the steps above. Unlike Instagram which allows you to pin three posts, Twitter allows you to pin only one tweet at a time.
