How to Pay Water & Electricity Utility Bills via M-sente

Uganda Telecom subscribers can pay utility bills via M-sente at the lowest costs. Choose to pay water bills and pay UEDCL bills or buy yaka with just a few dials.

First things first, ensure that you have money in your M-sente wallet. If that is sorted, dial *185# and follow the prompts as listed in this article. Here is how you can pay utility bills via M-sente.

How to Buy Yaka/ Pay UMEME via M-sente

1. Dial *185# and press the yes button.
2. Select Option 4, Bills & Payments.
3. Choose Option 1 UMEME.
4. Select 1 for self
5. Enter account number ( 9-11 digits)
6. Then enter amount.
7. Enter M-sente PIN.

Note; After payment, you will receive confirmation messages from both M-sente and the service provider. For a prepaid service, the messages will contain a Token number.

How to Pay for Water Bills (NWSC)

1. Dial *185# and press yes.
2. Select Option 4, Bills & Payments.
3. Choose Option 2, NWSC.
4. Select option 1 for self.
5. Select option that correspounds with your location.
6. Enter ref code (3-22 length).
7. Then enter Amount.
8. Confirm payment with M-sente PIN.
