GOTV is a television service that operates in Uganda and various African countries. This service is not free; all GOTV subscribers need to dive deep into their pockets to pay for GOTV subscriptions to access different GOTV packages. There are different ways to pay for GOTV including payway, through the bank, or using different agents. However, the most convenient way is to pay on the go using mobile money, especially Airtel Money. This article shows you how to pay for a GOTV subscription using Airtel Money. But first, let’s take a look at the different GOTV packages and subscription charges.

How to Pay GOTV Using Airtel Money
Before you start the paying process, make sure your decoder is on.
Step 1: Launch the phone app.
Step 2: Dial *185# and press yes (call button).
Step 3: Select option 4, Pay Bill.
Step 4: Then choose option 3 which is Pay TV and click enter to proceed.
Step 5: In the next option Select option 1 under Pay TV which is DSTV / GOTV.
Step 6: In this case, opt for option 2 which is Pay GOTV.
Step 7: Enter your GOTV number / IUC /SC. This is a 10-digit code. You can check the back of your decoder for the IUC/SC number.
Step 8: Select any GOTV package that you would like to pay for. If you are not sure about which package to pay for, then check out this GOTV package guide.
Step 9: Verify the details of your Name, and GOTV package, and then Enter the Amount of the GOTV package you have opted for.
Step 10: Confirm payment with your Airtel Money PIN.
How to Change to a Different GOTV Package
Each package comes with different channel offers. So if you realize that the package you paid for does not have the channels you want then you can choose to top up to gain access to a different package.
- Dial *185#.
- Select option 4, Pay Bill.
- Choose option 3, Pay TV.
- Select option 1, DSTV / GOTV.
- Opt for option 2 which is GOTV.
- Enter the GOTV number.
- Select option 7, Top up.
- Enter the Amount of Top Up. (If you are upgrading from GOTV Plus to GOTV Max, then you need to enter the amount of UGX 13,000).
- Confirm Payment with an Airtel Money PIN.
