How to Pay for School Fees using Airtel Money

The mobile money payment method has made paying bills in Uganda easy. Not long ago, most of the school fees bills were cleared physically at the bursar’s office or in the bank. Currently, you can pay for school fees using Airtel money at the comfort of your office or home using your phone. Just make sure the school supports mobile money payment methods and you have enough money on your account. This article guides you on how to pay schools using Airtel Money.

Method 1: Using USSD codes

This method shows you how to pay for school fees using Airtel money shortcodes.

• Dial *185# then OK.
• Opt for option 6, School Fees.
• Select option 2, School Pay.
• Choose option 1, Pay Fees.
• Enter Student Number.
• Student details and fees due will appear on the screen.
• Enter Amount you are willing to pay.
• Authenticate transaction with your Airtel Money Pin.
• A confirmation notification will be sent on your phone.

Method 2: Use my Airtel app

Here is how you can pay for school fees using Airtel Money on the My Airtel app.

• Download and install My Airtel.
• Select Country (Uganda).
• Enter Airtel money number.
• Click on Pay bills from the home menu.
• Choose School Fees option.
• Tap on School Pay.
• Enter Student number.
• The student details, school details and amount due will appear on the screen. Review them carefully and proceed to the next step.
• Enter Amount you wish to pay.
• Authenticate transaction with Airtel Money PIN.
• A confirmation message will be sent to your phone.
