The Standard Chartered bank letter is an official document that provides important information about your business’ official bank account. The letter mainly details a written confirmation from a bank representative that you have an operating business account with Standard Chartered bank. The official letter will show the bank letterhead, account number, router number, and business name. Here is how you can obtain a Standard Chartered bank letter online in Uganda.

SC bank account holders can choose to either request a letter via the SC Mobile App or by visiting the nearest Standard Chartered bank. If you choose to obtain the letter online via the SC mobile app, you must have registered SC mobile services.

How to Obtain a Standard Chartered Bank Letter Online in Uganda

Follow the steps below to download the SC bank letter;

1. Download and install the SC Mobile App from Google Play Store for Androids and App Store for IOS.

2. Open the SC Mobile App.

3. Tap on the Login button then log in to your SC Mobile app with your username and password.

4. Click on the Main Menu Bar icon (three parallel lines).

5. Tap on Service Requests

6. Then select Account Management under Service Requests.

7. Click on Request a Letter.

8. Choose the Type of Letter required from the drop-down. 

9. Select Account number details for the letter and input Addressee details.

10. Confirm Details and proceed to the next page.

11. Enter the One Time Password sent to your mobile number and submit.

12. On completion you will receive the bank letter instantly in your Email.

NOTE: The bank letter is mostly confused for the bank statement and yet the two are different products. The bank letter specifies providing information about your account including your transaction history while the bank statement specifies transaction history only.
