MTN launched the MTN WakaNet Pocket MiFi which is intended to offer affordable internet connectivity to more of its customers.
It is the newest addition to the telco’s WakaNet products. Which offers reliable, affordable, fast, and customized connectivity. WakaNet presently has three offers including; WakaNet Max (WiFi router), WakaNet Pro (high-speed fiber to the home and business Internet), and now, the portable pocket MiFi.
Whereas the pocket MiFi comes at an affordable price, the telco highlighted that recharging its bundles starts from UGX 10,000 which gets you 3GB. Additionally, the MiFi can be recharged with Freedom Bundles, these are bundles the telco introduced that don’t expire —a factor that is set to encourage more internet usage, based on the affordability and agile functionality of the MiFi and its bundles.
Specs and prices
The MTN WakaNet pocket MiFi is priced at UGX 75,000 and paired with 15GB of free data, the pocket MiFi connects up to 10 devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, e-book readers, portable gaming devices, and mp3 players, in addition to other internet-enabled devices.
To top up, customers can simply go to the MyMTN app or dial *165*64# to purchase affordable data that does not expire.
