How to Set up MTN Uganda Internet Settings on iPhone & Android

If you have a new smartphone, then the first thing to do is set up your internet settings. As an MTN subscriber, you have two different simple methods to set up the internet settings. You can set up your MTN Uganda internet settings either automatically or manually. Here is how to activate MTN Uganda internet settings on your device.

Method 1: Automatic Internet Settings For MTN

  • Dial *160*10#.
  • You will then receive the internet settings for your phone.
  • Accept the settings and save them as ‘Default’.

Method 2: Manual MTN Uganda Internet Settings

This method differs depending on phone type;

MTN Internet settings for Iphones:

  • Open the settings app on your device.
  • Tap on Mobile Data option.
  • Turn on the cellular data option.
  • Tap on Mobile Data Network.
  • Fill in these details: APN (Access point) – internet, Proxy: internet.mtn.co.ug, Proxy Port – 8080.

MTN Internet settings For Androids:

  • Turn on the Mobile Data option.
  • Launch the Settings app.
  • Tap on the Connections option.
  • Click on Mobile network.
  • Turn ON data roaming.
  • Select Access Point Names
  • Add a new APN/point name
  • Fill in these details: APN (Access point) – internet, Proxy: internet.mtn.co.ug, Proxy Port – 8080.
